Expert Psychiatry for High-Performing Adults
You're performing well at work. Your colleagues see someone who has it together. But behind the scenes, you're dealing with racing thoughts, difficulty sleeping, constant stress, trouble concentrating, or a persistent low mood that you've been pushing through for months — or years.
High-functioning doesn't mean you're fine. It means you've gotten very good at compensating. And at some point, compensation stops working. That's when many professionals finally seek help — and find that getting the right evaluation and treatment can be transformative.
At Empathy Health Clinic, our board-certified psychiatrists work with professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, healthcare workers, attorneys, and other high-functioning adults who need discreet, efficient psychiatric care that fits their schedule. We provide thorough psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and telehealth across Florida — so you can get expert care without rearranging your life.
We see professionals dealing with anxiety, depression, burnout, ADHD that was never diagnosed, insomnia, and the particular kind of stress that comes with high responsibility and high visibility. Whether you need a first evaluation or a second opinion on existing treatment, we're here to help — confidentially and without judgment.

What We Help Professionals With
Common conditions we evaluate and treat in high-functioning adults
Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation
A thorough 45–60 minute evaluation covering your symptoms, functional impact, medical history, and goals. We assess for anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, insomnia, and burnout — conditions that are common among high-achievers and often go undiagnosed for years.
Anxiety & Stress Management
Many professionals experience generalized anxiety, performance anxiety, or panic symptoms that they've learned to mask. We offer medication options (SSRIs, SNRIs, buspirone) and therapy coordination to address anxiety at its root — not just its surface symptoms.
Depression & Mood Support
Depression in high-functioning adults often looks different: irritability, loss of motivation, emotional numbness, or a sense of going through the motions rather than classic sadness. We evaluate and treat with evidence-based medication management.
Adult ADHD Evaluation
Many professionals discover ADHD in adulthood — often after years of compensating with overwork, over-organization, or sheer willpower. We provide thorough ADHD evaluations that distinguish ADHD from anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders. Treatment options include Vyvanse and non-stimulant alternatives.
Burnout & Occupational Stress
Burnout is not just 'being tired' — it involves emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced sense of accomplishment. We evaluate whether burnout exists alongside or is masking a treatable condition like depression or anxiety, and develop an appropriate treatment plan.
Insomnia & Sleep Issues
Sleep disruption is both a symptom and a driver of mental health problems. For professionals, the cycle of poor sleep → impaired performance → increased stress → worse sleep is common. We evaluate underlying causes and treat with evidence-based approaches.

We accept most major insurance plans and offer flexible payment options

Signs You May Be High-Functioning — But Struggling
High-functioning mental health challenges don't always look like what people expect. If several of these resonate, an evaluation may help.
At Work
- • Constant mental exhaustion despite adequate sleep
- • Difficulty concentrating or making decisions
- • Procrastination followed by bursts of intense effort
- • Perfectionism that feels more like paralysis than drive
- • Irritability with colleagues or direct reports
- • Feeling like you're "faking it" despite success
Outside Work
- • Racing thoughts or worry that won't turn off
- • Trouble falling or staying asleep
- • Using alcohol or other substances to decompress
- • Withdrawal from relationships or social activities
- • Loss of interest in things you used to enjoy
- • Physical symptoms (headaches, stomach issues, muscle tension)

How It Works
Call or request an appointment online. Same-week availability. Choose in-person (Winter Park office) or telehealth (anywhere in Florida).
Your first visit is a comprehensive 45–60 minute psychiatric evaluation. We assess your symptoms, functional impact, medical history, and goals. No referral needed.
Together, we develop an individualized treatment plan. This may include medication, therapy coordination, or both — always tailored to your specific situation and preferences.
Regular follow-up appointments (15–30 minutes, in-person or telehealth) to monitor medication effectiveness, manage side effects, and adjust your plan as needed.
