Telepsychiatry is psychiatric care provided remotely. At Empathy Health Clinic, adults attend Virtual Visits by phone for evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care. Remote care can be appropriate for many outpatient concerns, but your clinician will assess whether an in-person visit or a different level of care is needed.
At Empathy Health Clinic, our Florida-licensed psychiatric clinicians include psychiatric physician assistants and advanced practice registered nurses. We serve adults in Orlando, Tampa, Miami, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, Tallahassee, and communities across Florida. You must be physically in Florida during the visit.
If medication is clinically appropriate, your prescriber can discuss options and send eligible prescriptions electronically. A particular medication or same-day prescription is not guaranteed; prescribing depends on the evaluation, clinic policy, and requirements for remote care. Empathy Health Clinic does not prescribe Adderall or benzodiazepines.
Your clinician will discuss your symptoms, health history, current medications, and treatment goals. A phone appointment cannot replace a physical examination when one is needed, and some concerns require further assessment before a diagnosis or treatment plan can be confirmed.
