Immediate Mental Health Support in Central Florida

Mental health distress can feel overwhelming. Empathy Health Clinic offers outpatient counseling and psychiatric care for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and difficult life events. We are not an emergency department or a 24-hour crisis response service.

Ask about current appointment availability for non-emergency care. Same-day or next-day visits may be available, but are not guaranteed. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or go to an emergency department. Call or text 988 for suicide and crisis support, available 24/7.

When to Seek Crisis Mental Health Support

These symptoms can require prompt support. For immediate danger, a suspected overdose, severe chest pain, or difficulty breathing, call 911. For suicidal thoughts or emotional crisis, call or text 988. Do not use our appointment form to request emergency help:

    • Suicidal Thoughts or Self-Harm Urges - Thinking about ending your life or hurting yourself
    • Severe Panic Attacks - Overwhelming fear, chest pain, difficulty breathing
    • Acute Depression - Sudden worsening of depression symptoms, inability to function
    • Trauma Response - Recent traumatic event causing severe emotional distress
    • Medication Emergency - Severe side effects or ineffective psychiatric medications
    • Psychotic Symptoms - Hallucinations, delusions, or losing touch with reality
    • Substance Abuse Crisis - Dangerous substance use affecting mental health

    How Our Crisis Support Works

    1. Contact Us for Non-Emergency Care

When it is safe to arrange outpatient care, call (386) 848-8751 or use the appointment form. Clinic calls and forms are not a 24-hour crisis service; do not wait for a response in an emergency.

    2. Confirm Appointment Availability

Our team can explain available in-person and Virtual Visit appointments. Same-day availability varies. Emergency evaluation should not be delayed while waiting for an outpatient visit.

    3. Assessment and Care Planning

Your clinician will assess your needs and discuss appropriate outpatient treatment or a higher level of care. Medication changes, when appropriate, are made by a prescribing clinician.

    4. Ongoing Support

We'll schedule follow-up appointments and connect you with ongoing therapy or psychiatric care to prevent future crises.
